This is no ordinary ground mount, no… this shimmering beast is locked behind an achievement, phases, cloaks, and patience.

But fear not, mortals, for I shall show you the way.

🎯 What is the Phase-Lost Slateback?

The Phase-Lost Slateback is a ground mount obtainable through the achievement Phase-Lost-and-Found, which requires you to collect all Phase-Lost item appearances from Phase Diving Orbs.

Sounds simple, doesn’t it?
Well, you’ll need the right tools, the right strategy, and maybe a few cups of coffee.

🧠 Main Requirements – Bring Your Cloak!

Before you can even touch the orbs, you must have your Reshii Wraps cloak at Level 3.
The powerful cloak introduced on Patch 11.2, Ghosts of K'aresh. Once you start your adventures on this patch, the main quest line leads you to this cloak.
This shiny little cape is powered up using Ethereal Strands, which you can obtain by:

• Completing Warrant Quests in K’aresh

• Looting chests at the end of Delves

• Dropping from raid bosses in Manaforge Omega

• Dropping from dungeon bosses in The War Within Season 3

• Winning PvP matches in Season 3
  

Without this cloak, you’re just a naked gnome in a thunderstorm.

🥷 Fastest Classes for Orb Runs

You can brute force it, but why suffer when you can sneak like a villain?

• Druid: Travel Form + stealth = nature’s ninja.

• Rogue: Vanish, cloak, stab, repeat. Perfect for skipping unnecessary fights.

These two will save you hours of frustration. (and possibly a few gray hairs)

2. Deploy the Alt Army

Got multiple characters? Use them.

• Park alts in different orb spawn areas.

• Hop between them like a time-traveling bronze dragon.

• If you’ve got characters on different servers, even better!

More alts = more chances to catch orbs.

3. Exploit Group Phasing (in the most honorable way possible… or not)

Players form groups to farm these orbs, and you can take advantage of it:

• Join a group → pick up the orb in their phase.

• Leave the group → pick up the orb again in your phase.
  Two for the price of one. Delicious.

Once you phase dive, these are the orbs you are looking for. It is not 100% guaranteed that orbs will always drop an item.

📜 Strategies for Farming Orbs

1. Do Not Panic, Mortal

This is not a Mythic+ timer. Take your time, explore the zones, smack some rares, loot some treasures.
💡 Pro tip: Install the Rare Scanner addon. It will ping your map when something shiny and lootable is near.

• Once TomTom is installed and enabled, in-game, press enter and type:

  • /ttpaste opens a paste window for multiple waypoints.

  • Copy and and paste the coordinates below and press "Paste"

  • Check you map, green points will be added indicating the orbs location.

  • To reset: /tway reset all.
