Greetings, Denizens of the Azeroth Galaxy!

If you are hunting the Auriferous Venomfang in World of Warcraft: Midnight, your goal is simple, complete Treasures of the Coiled Isle.

Simple goal. Slightly less simple execution.

Some treasures are sitting there waiting for you. Others require fishing, underwater scavenger hunts, ghost interviews, suspicious food deliveries, ritual puzzles, and, because Azeroth apparently needed more paperwork, dying on purpose and eating vegetables while dead.

Yes. Blizzard went there.

The good news is you can organize the entire treasure hunt into a clean route and aim to finish it in under one hour.

🌀The Innkeeper’s Note (TL;DR)

To unlock the Auriferous Venomfang, you need to complete the Treasures of the Coiled Isle achievement.

The easiest way to approach the hunt is to use HandyNotes with HandyNotes: Midnight Treasures and Rares, follow the treasure markers around The Coiled Isle, and separate the treasures into two groups.

On our route map:

  • Green circles mark treasures with no special challenge.

  • Red circles mark treasures requiring extra steps, items, puzzles, or interactions.

The normal treasures are quick pickups. The red-circle objectives are where most of your time can disappear if you arrive without knowing what to do.

  • Goal: Complete Treasures of the Coiled Isle to work toward the Auriferous Venomfang.

  • Target Time: Follow a planned route and aim for completion in under 1 hour.

  • Use HandyNotes: It makes locating Midnight treasures much easier.

  • Green Circles: Pick these treasures up while moving through your route.

  • Red Circles: Stop and complete their challenge before moving on.

  • Prepare Fishing: One challenge requires you to fish.

  • Know the Weird Steps: One treasure requires your character to die before the objective can be completed.

Prepare Before Starting

A few minutes of preparation can save you from flying across the island twice because a dolphin suddenly demands seafood.

Yes, that sentence is relevant to this guide.

Install HandyNotes

I recommend using:
HandyNotes and HandyNotes: Midnight Treasures and Rares

These addons place Midnight treasure markers directly on your World of Warcraft map.

HandyNotes shows you where the treasures are. This guide handles the annoying part, figuring out why the chest still refuses to open after you arrive.

Our Map Markings

The circles shown on our treasure map are guide markings:

Green Circle > Normal treasure. No dedicated puzzle or lengthy challenge is required.

Red Circle > Challenge treasure. Expect an item, interaction, puzzle, NPC sequence, fishing requirement, or another special condition.

Use both systems together. HandyNotes gives you the locations, while our map tells you which treasures deserve extra attention.

Learn Fishing Before the Route

One challenge, the Amani Privateer's Cache, requires you to fish up a Grisly Morsel.
If your character does not know Fishing, visit the Silvermoon Fishing Trainer, learn the profession, then return to The Coiled Isle.

Doing this before reaching the cache saves a painful detour.

How the Under 1 Hour Route Works

The main rule is simple.

Do not treat every treasure as a separate trip.

Follow the island route and grab the green-circle treasures whenever they are near your path. When you reach a red-circle treasure, stop and complete its challenge.

The seven challenge objectives in this guide are:

  1. Sunken Diver's Chest

  2. Grave of Someone Forgotten

  3. Amani Privateer's Cache

  4. Brine-Crusted Chest

  5. Vul'zahn's Smuggled Treasure

  6. Profane Ritual Spoils

  7. Lost Spirit

Most normal treasures take little time.

These seven are where knowing the answer before arriving makes the biggest difference.
And now we enter the dangerous territory where opening a box requires more preparation than some Mythic+ groups.

Finish Treasures of the Coiled Isle

After completing the treasure route, open your achievement panel and check:

Treasures of the Coiled Isle

If the achievement is incomplete, compare the missing objective with your HandyNotes map.

If Something Is Missing

Check these first:

  • Did you skip a green-circle treasure while traveling?

  • Did you fully complete the Nameless Grave sequence?

  • Did you obtain the Well Resting buff before returning to the grave?

  • Did you feed the Hungry Dolphin before searching for both key halves?

  • Did you complete the ritual in the correct order?

  • Did you give the Forgotten Trinket to the Lost Spirit?

  • Did you complete Vul'zahn's full food sequence?

Once every required treasure is completed, you can finish the Treasures of the Coiled Isle objective tied to your Auriferous Venomfang hunt.

At this rate, Azeroth is going to need a much larger stable.
