Greetings, Denizens of the Azeroth Galaxy!

Temple of Sethraliss returns as part of the WoW Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ rotation, bringing lightning, dangerous trash pulls, boss immunities, positioning checks, and one final encounter where your healer gets promoted from party medic to actual boss killer.

Why defeat the final boss when you can simply heal it until it gives up?

This Temple of Sethraliss Mythic+ guide follows the dungeon in order, covering trash priorities, pull control, interrupts, positioning, and the four encounters, Adderis and Aspix, Merektha, Galvazzt, and Avatar of Sethraliss.

🌀The Innkeeper’s Note (TL;DR)

Temple of Sethraliss rewards groups that control trash instead of letting every cast go through and hoping the healer has achieved immortality.

The opening pull can be large if your group stacks correctly for line of sight. Later sections focus more on dodging lethal floor mechanics, controlling priority enemies, and preserving enough dungeon percentage before entering the final area.

Boss positioning matters throughout the dungeon, especially on Galvazzt, while the final Avatar of Sethraliss encounter depends heavily on add priority and healing the Avatar to full health.

  • Control the Opening Pull: Stack against the wall to break caster line of sight and group the enemies.

  • Stop Arrow Barrage: Crowd control or mass stun it whenever possible.

  • Respect Boss Immunities: Adderis and Aspix can become immune, swap targets immediately.

  • Watch Merektha: Keep your camera toward the boss so Burrow does not surprise you.

  • Three Spires, Three Players: Galvazzt requires three non-tank players to intercept the beams.

  • Protect the Orbs: Stop Temple Disruptors from casting on the objectives.

  • Heal the Avatar: Essence Defiler comes first, then pour healing into the Avatar whenever possible.

⚡Quick Guide!

📍Location

Temple of Sethraliss is located in Vol'dun, Zandalar.
For Midnight Season 2 Mythic+, you can enter through the normal Mythic+ dungeon system rather than traveling there manually for every key.

Trash, Pull Control and Priority Enemies

Opening Pull

You can begin Temple of Sethraliss aggressively. Pull forward, then stack against a wall to break line of sight on the casters. This forces ranged enemies toward the group and makes crowd control and cleave much easier.
This is a strong place for Bloodlust/Heroism, offensive cooldowns, and defensive cooldowns.

Important Mechanics

Arrow Barrage

Stop this with crowd control or a mass stun whenever possible.
If it goes through, the targeted player should use a defensive.

Bleeds

Several enemies can apply bleeds.
Healers should remove them when possible or prepare to heal through the damage. Players with a bleed should use personal defensives when necessary.

Lightning Casts

Interrupt as many as possible.
Meanwhile, stay out of the floor puddles.

Once the Avatar of Sethraliss reaches 100% health, the encounter ends.
Congratulations. You defeated a boss by providing excellent healthcare. Azeroth truly contains mysteries beyond Sith comprehension.
