Rotmire is not a complicated boss because of fancy phases. No, no, my brave raid creatures. Rotmire is dangerous because the fight asks your raid to do simple jobs in the correct order, and somehow, someone will still drag a mushroom to the wrong zip code.
This Rotmire guide focuses on the real strategy: where to stack adds, when to move, what to interrupt, when tanks swap, and how to stop the raid from becoming mushroom fertilizer.

Greetings, Denizens of the Azeroth Galaxy!
🌀The Innkeeper’s Note (TL;DR)
Rotmire is a single-phase fight with repeating mechanics. Your raid wins by creating controlled corpse piles, killing adds in the correct graveyards, interrupting Sporecaps, and cleaning Bursting Shrooms before they explode.
The normal and heroic plan is simple: bring Shroomlings to the first Sporecap location, marked with Red X, kill them there, interrupt Poison Burst, move Festering Vines to the edge, then destroy every Bursting Shroom after Fungal Bloom.
On Mythic, the fight adds Funglings, and this is where the Emperor raises one eyebrow. Shroomling corpses and Fungling corpses must stay separated. If those corpses are within 10 yards, your raid gets punished hard, and the mushrooms file a hostile takeover.
Red X is Graveyard 1: All Shroomlings die on the first Sporecap spawn location.
Gold Star is Graveyard 2: All Funglings die far away from Shroomlings on Mythic.
Do Not Kill Adds Early: Fixated players must kite adds into position before DPS burns them.
Interrupt Sporecap: Poison Burst must be stopped, or healers will start writing resignation letters.
Move Green Circles Out: Festering Vines goes to the room edge, not the raid stack.
Kill Bursting Shrooms Fast: After Fungal Bloom, add corpses become bombs. Kill them before the cast finishes.
Tanks Swap on Putrid Fist: Swap after every Putrid Fist because it applies 75 percent increased physical damage taken.

📍Location

The Rotmire boss is located inside the Sporefall raid.
You can find this single-boss raid zone in the southeastern part of Harandar.
Nearby Landmark: The entrance sits right next to the Grudge Pit delve entrance.
Flight Path: The closest travel spot is Har'athir Flightpoint, which is located just north of the raid.
Everyone
Dodge Awaken Fungi circles.
Move Festering Vines to the edge.
Use personals during late Bloom windows.
Do not panic-kite adds through the raid.
Role Checklist
DPS
Kill adds before Fungal Bloom.
Swap fast to Bursting Shrooms.
Interrupt Poison Burst on Heroic.
Use AoE burst on add clusters.
Tanks
Swap every Putrid Fist.
Use defensives for the tankbuster.
Keep Rotmire stable.
Help position adds for clean cleave.
Healers
Prepare cooldowns for Fungal Bloom.
Track stacking rot damage from Bursting Pustules.
Watch players kiting adds.
Be ready for Poison Burst mistakes on Heroic.
Rotmire Mechanics in Fight Order
This is the order your raid should expect during the fight.
Bursting Pustules, Heal Through
What to do:
Healers keep the raid stable.
DPS stays focused. Nobody panics. The Empire does not accept panic as a raid cooldown.

The fight starts with Bursting Pustules, a raidwide rot damage effect.
Healers should prepare steady healing here.
This is not the biggest danger early, but the damage ramps as the fight continues.
The cleaner your raid plays, the easier later Fungal Bloom windows become.
Awaken Fungi, Dodge the Green Puddles
What to do:
Move out of green puddles and prepare for Shroomlings.

Next comes Awaken Fungi, Green puddles or circles appear on the floor before adds spawn.
Do not stand in them.
The circles show where fungal adds will pop up, and standing there is a quick way to become a bouncing mushroom snack.
Shroomlings Wave 1, Move Them to Graveyard 1
What to do on Normal and Heroic
The tank pulls Rotmire toward the first Sporecap location.
Players fixated by Shroomlings kite them under the boss, on top of the first Sporecap spawn.
DPS waits until the Shroomlings are in position.
Then the raid cleaves Shroomlings down on Graveyard 1.
Do not kill Shroomlings before they reach the Red X. If they die early, their corpses spawn in bad places, and your Fungal Bloom cleanup becomes a royal mess.
A controlled corpse pile is strategy. A random corpse pile is group finder archaeology.

After Awaken Fungi, the first wave of Shroomlings spawns.
This is the most important moment for your raid’s setup.
Shroomlings fixate players, and those fixated players must not run in random circles.
They must kite the Shroomlings to the first Sporecap spawn location.
Mark this location with Red X.
This is Graveyard 1.
All Shroomlings should die there.

Mythic Only, Funglings Go to Graveyard 2
What to do on Mythic
Shroomling fixated players go to Red X.
Fungling fixated players go to Gold Star.
Do not kill either add type before it reaches its assigned graveyard.
DPS must respect the split. Shroomlings on one side. Funglings on the other. Two piles. Two jobs. Zero mushroom romance.

On Mythic, Funglings also spawn and fixate players.
This changes the fight. Shroomling corpses and Fungling corpses must stay separated. If they end up within 10 yards of each other, your raid is in serious danger.
So the strategy becomes two graveyards.
Graveyard 1, Red X: Shroomlings die here, on top of the first Sporecap spawn.
Graveyard 2, Gold Star: Funglings die here, far from Shroomling corpses, usually closer to the middle near the boss’s original position.

Sporecap and Poison Burst, Interrupt Priority
What to do:
Interrupt Poison Burst every time. Kill Sporecap when possible, especially when Shroomlings are already being stacked near it.
If you are killing Shroomlings on top of the Sporecap, you are doing two jobs at once: building the right corpse pile and removing the Sporecap threat.
Efficient.
Evil.
Beautiful.

The Sporecap is a stationary add. It casts Poison Burst, and that cast must be interrupted.
Assign two or three ranged DPS to watch Sporecap casts. This keeps interrupts clean while the rest of the raid handles Shroomlings and boss damage.
On Heroic and Mythic, missed Poison Burst casts can make healing spiral out of control.

Festering Vines, Green Circle and Arrow Move Out
What to do:
Green circle goes to the edge. Drop it safely, then return.
The middle of the room belongs to the boss, adds, and tactical choices. It does not belong to your personal vine garden.

Festering Vines targets players with a green circle and arrow.
If you get this, move to the edge of the room. Do not drop it in the middle, under the boss, or where your raid is stacking adds.
This mechanic is a space check.
Bad puddle placement makes the next add wave harder.
What to do:
After Fungal Bloom, swap to Bursting Shrooms and kill them fast.
Healers prepare for raid damage.
DPS uses AoE burst.
Players stay calm and clean up the bombs.

At 100 energy, Rotmire casts Fungal Bloom. This is the big checkpoint.
Fungal Bloom deals raidwide damage and turns add corpses into Bursting Shrooms.
Those Bursting Shrooms begin an explosion cast, They must be killed before the cast finishes, or the raid can wipe.
This is why add placement matters so much. If all Shroomlings died on Red X, the Bursting Shrooms spawn together and can be cleaved down fast.
If adds died everywhere, your raid gets a mushroom scavenger hunt with death penalties.
Shroomlings Wave 2 and the New Sporecap
What to do:
Fixated players bring Shroomlings back to Red X.
DPS kills them there.
Ranged players keep watching Sporecap and interrupting Poison Burst.

After Fungal Bloom, the fight continues with another Awaken Fungi cycle.
A second wave of Shroomlings spawns, along with another Sporecap.
The rule stays the same.
Shroomlings go back to Graveyard 1, the original Shroomling corpse pile at Red X.
Do not create a second Shroomling pile. Do not improvise. This is not jazz. This is a raid boss.
Assign Ranged DPS to Sporecap While Raid Handles Adds
Priority stays clear:
Keep graveyards separated.
Interrupt Poison Burst.
Kill adds in the correct spots.
Kill Bursting Shrooms before they explode.
Continue boss damage when the room is safe.
Repeat this cycle until Rotmire falls.
For a clean strategy, assign two or three ranged DPS to handle the Sporecap.
Their job is to watch Poison Burst, interrupt it, and help kill the Sporecap when the raid can safely swap.
The rest of the DPS focuses Shroomlings at Graveyard 1.
On Mythic, the raid also needs players handling Funglings at Graveyard 2.
If the second Sporecap spawns far from the group, do not let the raid collapse into chaos.
Keep the two graveyards clean first, Interrupt Sporecap casts, Kill Bursting Shrooms after Bloom.
Then clean up what remains.
Rotmire uses Putrid Fist as the tank mechanic.
Putrid Fist hits hard and applies a debuff that increases physical damage taken by 75 percent.
Tanks should swap every Putrid Fist.
Do not get greedy.
Greedy tanks become educational content.
Tank To Do
Swap after every Putrid Fist.
Use defensive cooldowns for the hit.
Move the boss toward Graveyard 1 when Shroomlings need to be stacked.
Keep the boss stable so melee can cleave safely.
Tank Strategy, Putrid Fist
For Normal and Heroic, your raid follows one main graveyard plan.
Graveyard 1, Red X: Shroomlings die on top of the first Sporecap spawn.
Dodge Awaken Fungi puddles.
Kite Shroomlings to Red X.
Do not kill Shroomlings early.
Interrupt Poison Burst from Sporecap.
Move Festering Vines to the edge.
After Fungal Bloom, kill Bursting Shrooms fast.
Repeat with the second Shroomling wave.
The fight becomes clean when your raid stops spreading add corpses like confetti.
Normal and Heroic Strategy Recap

Mythic To Do
Tank pulls boss to Graveyard 1.
Shroomling fixated players kite Shroomlings under the boss at Red X.
Fungling fixated players kite Funglings to Gold Star.
Do not kill either add type before positioning.
Two or three ranged DPS handle Sporecap interrupts.
Raid kills Shroomlings and Funglings in the correct graveyards.
After Fungal Bloom, kill Bursting Shrooms fast.
If Shroomling corpses and Fungling corpses get too close, the raid can wipe. Keep the piles separated like two angry guild officers after loot drama.
Mythic Strategy Recap
Mythic adds Funglings, and the raid must separate corpse piles.
Graveyard 1, Red X
This is for Shroomlings.
Shroomling fixated players go to the first Sporecap spawn location.
Kill Shroomlings there.
Graveyard 2, Gold Star
This is for Funglings.
Fungling fixated players go to the Star marker, far from Shroomling corpses.
Kill Funglings there.

Quick Guide, The Whole Fight in One Scroll
Dodge the green puddles from Awaken Fungi.
Kill all Shroomlings at the first Sporecap location, marked Red X.
On Mythic, kite Funglings to the Gold Star, away from Shroomlings.
Interrupt Sporecap’s Poison Burst.
Move green circle and arrow from Festering Vines to the edge.
After Fungal Bloom, corpses become Bursting Shrooms.
Kill Bursting Shrooms fast before they explode.
Tanks swap after every Putrid Fist.
Repeat until Rotmire falls.

Rotmire is not won by raw damage alone. Rotmire is won by discipline.
If Shroomlings die in the right place, Funglings die far away on Mythic, Sporecaps are interrupted, vines are dropped at the edge, and Bursting Shrooms die before exploding, this boss becomes clean and fast.
If your raid ignores positioning, the room turns into a fungal crime scene.
So mark Red X. Mark Gold Star. Assign ranged interrupts. Respect the corpse piles.
Then march in, strike hard, and remind Rotmire that Azeroth already has enough mushrooms.
Long Live, Play WoW.
📜FAQ / Quick Tips
When should we use Lust?
Use Lust on pull for maximum boss damage while the room is clean and cooldowns are ready.
What is the biggest wipe reason?
Living adds during Fungal Bloom, missed Poison Burst interrupts, and scattered Bursting Shrooms.
Where should Festering Vines go?
To the edge of the room. Never drop vine puddles in the middle.
What is the Heroic priority add?
Sporecap. Interrupt Poison Burst and kill it quickly.
What changes on Mythic?
Funglings spawn, and their corpses must stay away from Shroomling corpses. Mixing them can create Doom Shrooms.
How do we make Bursting Shrooms easier?
Kill adds in clusters so the mushrooms spawn together and can be AoE’d down fast.
