🌀The Innkeeper’s Note (TL;DR)
Shadowguard Point is a multi-faceted delve located in Western Voidstorm, offering a rich variety of challenges, from Void stabilizer destruction to freeing drained Ethereal and Void Elf captives. This delve features three distinct story variants: Calamitous, Stolen Mana, and Captured Wildlife, each with unique objectives and boss fights. Whether you’re clearing Void Stabilizers or rescuing creatures from captivity, Shadowguard Point rewards strategic gameplay with massive XP and valuable loot.
Variant Mastery: Choose your path wisely, Calamitous, Stolen Mana, or Captured Wildlife to tailor your strategy and maximize rewards.
Void Stabilizers: In Calamitous, destroy Void Stabilizers by collecting Arcane Orbs and using them at key points.
Mana Barrels: In Stolen Mana, use the Galvanic Rifle to destroy mana barrels and free captives, while carefully managing dangerous damage circles.
Wildlife Rescue: In Captured Wildlife, free wildlife from cages to deal significant damage to nearby mobs and work your way through the delve.
Boss Battle: Face Chief-Arcanist Patram, utilizing interrupts and positioning to avoid deadly Void zones and debuffs.

The Shadowguard Point Location
Shadowguard Point is located inside an ethereal structure in Western Voidstorm. This delving location offers everything you need for an adventure worth remembering.
Versions of Shadowguard Point
The Shadowguard Point Delve features 3 distinct story variants:
Calamitous
Stolen Mana
Captured Wildlife
Each variant offers unique challenges and rewards, so let’s dive into what each of these versions entails.
Calamitous - Story Variant
The academy is on the brink of chaos, and it’s up to you to stop the Void Stabilizers from taking root and ruining everything.
Your mission? Destroy them before the Void gains a permanent foothold in the academy!
⚡ Quick Guide
Starting the Delve:
To begin your adventure, you’ll need to take down Guard Captain Meti, who’s conveniently waiting right at the entrance.
She only has one trick up her sleeve, Arcane Bulwark, which grants her a shield. Once she’s out of the way, two new objectives await you:
Fill up the progress bar by defeating enemies.
Destroy Void Stabilizers by collecting Arcane Orbs dropped by mobs. Simply run over the orb and then enter the circle around the Void Stabilizer, and poofit’s destroyed.
Void Stabilizers:
Once you destroy a Void Stabilizer, it leaves behind Voidzones. These bad boys detonate after a few seconds, dealing damage and stunning anyone caught inside. Feeling bold?
Try kiting enemies into the Voidzones to rack up some free damage.
But be careful, if you get caught in the explosion, it’s lights out.
Once the progress bar is filled and all the Void Stabilizers are destroyed, Chief-Arcanist Patram will make his entrance. Don’t worry, we’ll dive into how to take him down in the next section!
Stolen Mana - Story Variant
In the Stolen Mana variant, your mission is to rescue Ethereal and Void Elf captives who are being drained of their mana. It’s up to you to stop the siphoning and set them free before their power is completely drained.
⚡ Quick Guide
Starting the Delve:
First, chat with Lysikas and pick up the Galvanic Rifle. This handy little tool grants you an extra action button, letting you deal a bit of arcane damage and, more importantly, destroy mana barrels in your path.
Free eight captives from Mana Siphoners.
Fill the progress bar by destroying mana barrels. There are two types of barrels:
Smaller barrels: These count as 1% progress each.
Larger barrels: These count as 3% progress, but they also spawn damaging circles that knock back everything in the area. If you're feeling confident, kite enemies into these circles for some bonus damage. But don’t get too close to the circle yourself, or you'll be the one flying through the air!
Once the progress bar is filled, Chief-Arcanist Patram, will spawn. Keep an eye on the map to make sure you’re heading in the right direction when the bar fills up.
Captured Wildlife - Story Variant
In the Captured Wildlife variant, your mission is to rescue various wildlife trapped in cages scattered throughout the delve. The more animals you free, the more powerful your forces become, plus, those creatures pack quite the punch!
⚡ Quick Guide
Starting the Delve:
Speak with Lysikas and prepare yourself to rescue some poor creatures. To free them, just click on their cages. Once released, the wildlife will start attacking nearby mobs, dealing some serious damage. The more wildlife you free, the faster you’ll fill the progress bar!
Free the wildlife to deal damage to enemies.
After releasing the creatures, Lysikas will give you Worm Bait a special item that lets you defeat Void Researchers who are shielded. Once you get close enough to a Void Researcher, an extra action button will pop up. Use the Worm Bait to instantly kill the researcher.
Once you've defeated all the Void Researchers, Chief-Arcanist Patram will spawn. We’ll dive into the boss fight strategy in the next section!
Chief-Arcanist Patram - Boss Fight
Dealing with Chief-Arcanist Patram is fairly straightforward, but if you don’t manage the mechanics properly, this fight can go south quickly. Here’s how to take him down with style:
⚡Quick Guide
Void Communion: Patram’s Dark Communion ability will let you use your defensive and offensive cooldowns more frequently. Make sure to take full advantage of this mechanic to maximize your damage output and survival.
Interrupt "Submit to the Void": Submit to the Void, one of Patram's most dangerous abilities is Submit to the Void, a spell you’ll want to interrupt as late as possible for maximum efficiency. If Valeera is in DPS specialization, let her handle the interrupts. If not, be ready to step in yourself.
Discordant Hymn: Patram will cast Discordant Hymn, which spawns void zones that deal damage and slow players. These areas are nasty; sidestep them to avoid the damage and stay mobile to keep your footing.
Void Emissary: Patram’s Dark Communion will summon a Void Emissary that needs to be dealt with quickly. You must kill the Void Emissary before Patram finishes casting Submit to the Void. If you succeed, you’ll be rewarded with Versatility and Cooldown Reduction buffs. Fail, and Patram gets the buff instead.
Interrupt Void Bolt casts as often as possible.
Stay mobile and interrupt Submit to the Void at the right moment.
With this strategy, Patram should fall quickly, especially with your NPC allies' help.
The Delver’s Hub: Silvermoon City and The Bazaar
In an unprecedented move, the Midnight Delve operations have been centralized in Silvermoon City’s Bazaar district.
/way 51.72, 78.07
No more fragmented hubs! Here, you’ll collaborate with fellow adventurers, share knowledge, and accumulate power.
The Bazaar acts as a neutral ground for both the Horde and Alliance. But don’t mistake neutrality for weakness; this is where the power of the Void is confronted.
And speaking of power, Valeera Sanguinar, the masterful Delve companion, will be your guide.

Analysis & Efficiency
When it comes to farming XP in Shadowguard Point, there are a few different strategies you can employ depending on how much time you want to spend and how efficient you want to be. Here’s a breakdown of the different approaches, focusing on mob pulls, full delves, and XP rates. Choose the method that fits your playstyle, and you’ll be racking up XP in no time!
Just Mobs Pull (Death Knight)
Duration: ~4 minutes
Buffs: Darkmoon 10%, Warmode 15%, Warband 10%
Earned XP: 109,282
XP Rate: ~27,321 XP/min
XP per Hour: ~1,639,260 XP/hour
If you’re looking to get in and out quickly, focusing solely on mob pulls with your Death Knight can give you a huge amount of XP in just a few minutes. This method focuses on farming mobs and skipping the boss, allowing you to rack up XP without having to deal with the longer boss fight mechanics.
Full 2 Pulls (Monk) – Mobs + Boss (Full Delve)
Duration: ~12 minutes
Buffs: Darkmoon 10%, Warmode 15%, Warband 5%
Earned XP: 99,430
XP Rate: ~8,286 XP/min
XP per Hour: ~497,150 XP/hour
For a more complete experience, the Monk strategy of pulling both mobs and the boss offers a more thorough delve. While the XP rate is slightly lower due to the longer duration, you’ll clear the full delve, earn some great loot, and still make a solid amount of XP. If you're in it for the full experience and want to take on the boss, this method is your best bet!
Just Mobs Pull (Monk)
Duration: ~7 minutes
Buffs: Darkmoon 10%, Warmode 15%, Warband 5%
Earned XP: 61,867
XP Rate: ~8,838 XP/min
XP per Hour: ~530,288 XP/hour
If you’re in a rush and just want to farm mobs with a Monk, this strategy gives a fantastic XP return without the time investment of completing the full delve. The Monk's high mobility and ability to quickly clear large pulls make this a solid method for farming XP efficiently.
Final
If you're short on time, mobs pull (especially with a Death Knight) offer the best XP/min return, allowing you to farm quickly and efficiently. For those wanting to experience the full delve, go for the Monk’s full 2 pulls; it may take a bit longer, but the rewards are worth it. Either way, Shadowguard Point offers plenty of opportunities to stack up that XP.
Top 3 Delves Best XP Options
Shadowguard Point (Mob Pull Only): ~27,321 XP/min.
Strategy: Pull all trash packs, AOE them down, exit, and reset. Do not waste time on the boss.
The Gulf of Memory: ~12,089 XP/min.
Strategy: Best "Full Clear" option. The layout allows for a 5-minute completion which keeps the rate high.
Collegiate Calamity: ~11,215 XP/min.
Strategy: Very efficient for a DK; use your pulls to keep the momentum high through the library.
Valeera Sanguinar: A Tactical Genius at Your Side
Valeera is no mere companion. She’s the embodiment of deadly precision, a tactical mastermind. You’ll find her divided into three specialized roles:
Damage Specialization: A burst of power, with Assassinate for swift, devastating kills and No Witnesses for momentum.
Healing Specialization: Proactive healing with Vampiric Reaping and Crimson Vial Fumes. It’s all about gathering health from the battlefield.
Tanking Specialization: Frontline control with abilities like Fan of Knives and Scar of Kathra'natir for damage mitigation.
Don’t you just love it when a warrior has the power of stealthy retribution?

What spec do you use for Valeera?
I haven't noticed much of a significant use in the DPS and Tank specs. Personally, I just use her as a healer, and it's the same with Brann.
Here is my current set (until I get her better skills)
Combate role - Healer
Combat Curio - Mantle of Stars
Utility Curio - Mandate of Sacred Death

The Shadowguard Point Delve is an exciting, action-packed journey through the Voidstorm, with a variety of objectives and bosses to keep things fresh. Whether you’re destroying Void Stabilizers, freeing mana-drained captives, or rescuing wildlife, each version offers unique challenges and rewards. Stay strategic, work with your NPC allies, and you’ll be racking up XP and loot in no time!
📜FAQ / Quick Tips
What are Delves in World of Warcraft: Midnight?
World of Warcraft: Midnight Delves are role-agnostic, instanced PvE adventures designed for solo players or small groups of up to five. These short, repeatable scenarios offer a dedicated endgame progression path alongside traditional raids and Mythic+ dungeons. They feature 11 difficulty tiers and rotating daily objectives to keep gameplay varied.
Who is the new Delve companion in the Midnight expansion?
Valeera Sanguinar is the new seasonal companion for Midnight, replacing Brann Bronzebeard. Players can customize her role to act as a Tank, Healer, or DPS to complement their class. Her power is further augmented by "Curios" slottable artifacts that provide massive combat spikes or utility, such as the defensive Mantle of Stars.
How do I progress the Delver’s Journey and reach Rank 10?
The Delver’s Journey is a seasonal progression track consisting of 10 ranks, requiring a total of 42,000 points to complete. You can earn progress points by finishing Bountiful Delves (50–150 points), opening Bountiful Coffers with Restored Coffer Keys (250 points), and completing the weekly quest, "The Key to Success" (1,500 points).
What are Bountiful Delves and how do I get the best loot?
Bountiful Delves are daily rotating versions of standard Delves that offer superior rewards. To access the best gear, you must use a Restored Coffer Key on the Bountiful Coffer at the end of the run. Standard Delves provide non-upgradeable gear, making Bountiful runs the priority for character progression.
How do I defeat Nullaeus and unlock the Arcanovoid Construct mount?
Nullaeus is the Season 1 Nemesis boss located in the Torment's Rise Delve within the Voidstorm zone. To unlock the Arcanovoid Construct mount, you must defeat him solo on the "Challenge Tier" difficulty before the season ends. This encounter is a high-intensity skill check requiring precise interrupt discipline and hazard management.
