There is one major purchase detail: official store text says access to the Skyborne race and the Zephras Isle starting questline requires a Skyborne Heroic Pack, Skyborne Epic Pack, or an edition containing those benefits. This endgame is supported by revised loot, new rewards, talents, skills, and reputations. The key design promise is continued progression without raising the level cap beyond 60. Blizzard still needs to explain the long-term cadence, raid difficulties, lockouts, catch-up systems, and how older level 60 raids will fit beside the new encounters.
Darkspear Islands battleground
PvP receives a new battleground on the Darkspear Islands. Its rules, team size, reward structure, and queue format were not detailed in the first announcement.
That leaves an important opening for the upcoming deep dive. A battlefield name is exciting, but Emperor Noob Sidious requires objectives, graveyards, and at least one place where a rogue can vanish after creating a diplomatic incident.
Engine Upgrades and the SD or HD Model Toggle
Forever aims to retain the silhouette and pace of original WoW while improving the engine around it. Announced visual upgrades include:

The toggle is the clever part. Players who prefer the 2004 character appearance can keep it, while others may use higher-definition models. Blizzard can modernize the environment without forcing every nostalgic player to accept one visual style.
