Greetings, Denizens of the Azeroth Galaxy!

Seat of the Triumvirate is part of the Midnight Season 1 dungeon pool, bringing the old Argus dungeon back into the current Mythic+ rotation. Its story is still soaked in fallen grandeur, abandoned eredar halls, void corruption, and the tragic fall of L'ura into darkness.

💭 Argus was governed from the gleaming halls of the Seat of the Triumvirate, until the eredar struck their unholy bargain with Sargeras. Enraged by Velen's defiant exodus, Kil'jaeden decreed that the Seat should be abandoned as a symbol of an irrelevant past... for the Legion had become their future. Its once-gleaming halls now fallen into shadow, the Seat radiates a dark power that has drawn those seeking to harness the might of the Void and unleash it upon their enemies.

This place is not a gentle walk through ancient ruins. It is a void-soaked lesson in movement, interrupts, add control, and not letting the room collapse into chaos while everyone insists they “almost had it.”

🌀The Innkeeper’s Note (TL;DR)

Seat of the Triumvirate is a control dungeon. If your group interrupts on time, handles puddles properly, and reacts fast to add phases, the run feels smooth. If not, the dungeon becomes a glowing monument to poor decisions.

  • Interrupts matter everywhere. Trash and bosses both punish missed casts.

  • Space management matters fast. Several mechanics fill the room with danger if placed badly.

  • Zuraal tests discipline. Move the blue circle out, dodge the frontal, and stop the adds before they reach the boss.

  • Saprish is a cleanup check. Void bombs must be cleared before the big group damage.

  • Nezhar punishes hesitation. Kill tentacles fast and move hard when the collapse begins.

  • L'ura is a room-control boss. Use the beam well, silence the notes, and keep rotating safely.

Trash, Pull Control, and How Groups Lose Keys Before the Bosses

Trash in Seat of the Triumvirate is not decoration. It is there to punish teams that think the bosses are the only part of the dungeon that matters.

The rule set is simple. Avoid frontals, interrupt dangerous casts, stack packs when it is safe, stun them, and burn them down together. Healers should remove curses, bleeds, and other nasty pressure before they snowball. Tanks should turn frontals away from the group and use defensives before large pulls become a horror show.

In plain dungeon language, this means one thing.
If a cast bar is dangerous, stop it.
If a frontal is coming, move.
If the pull starts getting messy, lock it down before the healer starts questioning every life choice that led to this key.

If the room is already full of Void and your group still chooses chaos, then the Void is not the problem. Your team is.

How to defeat
Zuraal the Ascended

Zuraal the Ascended, Seat of the Triumvirate, wow, midnight, wowprimer, midnight mythic season1

Zuraal opens the dungeon by teaching the ancient lesson of Mythic+ if the floor is full of problems, maybe stop adding new ones. The fight revolves around Null Palm, Decimate, Oozing Slam, and Void Slash.

A strong opening with lust is completely reasonable here. Null Palm is the frontal, so do not stand in front of the boss unless your hobby is becoming a cautionary tale. If Decimate marks you with the blue circle, move out cleanly and drop it away from the group so the room stays playable.

When Oozing Slam brings out the adds, slow them, crowd controls them, and kills them before they reach the boss. That is not a suggestion. That is the part of the fight where groups either look coordinated or deeply decorative.

Tanks should be ready for Void Slash and use defensives properly. This boss is all about staying organized while the room tries to become a puddle collection.

  • Lust at pull if available.

  • Null Palm - Avoid the frontal

  • Decimate - If you get the blue circle, move out

  • Oozing Slam Slow, CC, and Kill adds before reaching the boss

  • Void Slash Tanks pop defensives

How to defeat
Saprish

Saprish is the dungeon’s way of asking whether your group can clean up the room before the room cleans up your group. The core mechanics are Void Bombs, Dread Screech, and Overload.

The important part is simple. Clear the Void Bombs using the blue circle mechanic before Overload happens. If bombs are still around when that big damage event goes off, the fight becomes far uglier than it needs to be. If one is left over at the wrong time, a tank or sturdy DPS with a defensive may need to handle it and save the pull.

The pets using Dread Screech should be interrupted fast. Miss those kicks, and the fight starts feeling much louder and much sadder. Then comes Overload, where the healer needs real support, real defensives, and a team that understands this is not the time to become adventurous.

This boss is not about raw damage.
It is about tidy execution.
Clear the bombs, stop the screams, help the healer survive, and move on like professionals instead of survivors.

  • Clear the Void Bombs by using the blue circle

  • Dread Screech Interrupts Pets

  • Overload Big Heals here, use defensives to heal the healer

  • All void bombs should be gone before Overload. If any remain, tank or dps with defensive should get it.

How to defeat
Viceroy Nezhar

Viceroy Nezhar is where the dungeon stops asking politely. This fight mixes orb dodging, interrupts, adds pressure, and one major collapse phase that demands immediate movement. The key mechanics are Umbral Waves, Mind Blast, Mass Void Infusion, Umbral Tentacles, and Collapsing Void.

Start with the basics. Avoid the orbs from Umbral Waves and interrupt Mind Blast every chance you get. If Mass Void Infusion comes out, use defensives and keep the group stable. Then kill the Umbral Tentacles as fast as possible, because letting them live is just volunteering for more pain.

The big movement check is Collapsing Void. When it happens, use mobility and get to the boss quickly. This is not a moment for strolling, sightseeing, or asking what the cast does after it already did it. Move now, live longer.

This is the kind of fight that punishes delay more than confusion.
If your group reacts quickly, it feels controlled.
If not, Nezhar turns the room into a void-themed tax on hesitation.

How to defeat
L'ura

l'ura, Seat of the Triumvirate, wow, midnight, wowprimer, midnight mythic season1

L'ura ends the dungeon with a fight that is less about panic and more about precision. The room fills with pressure from Discordant Beam, Notes of Despair, Grim Chorus, puddles, and rotating beams from Disintegrate.

Lust on pull is a sensible plan here. When the red-arrow beam targets a player, point it at the Notes of Despair around the room to silence them. That is one of the most important mechanics in the fight, and using it badly turns a manageable encounter into a room full of extra noise and regret.

At the same time, avoid the explosions from Grim Chorus, stay out of puddles, and rotate away from the beams during Disintegrate. This is a fight where bad footwork ruins everything.
Not instantly, not always dramatically, but steadily, like the dungeon is disappointed in you.

I respect this final boss. Not because it is kind, but because it rewards players who can actually aim, move, and think at the same time.

📜FAQ / Quick Tips

Is Seat of the Triumvirate in the current Mythic+ pool?
Yes. It is one of the returning dungeons in Midnight Season 1.

What is the biggest wipe point for groups here?
Usually one of three things: bad add control on Zuraal, sloppy bomb cleanup on Saprish, or slow movement during Nezhar’s collapse phase.

Any recent dungeon notes worth knowing?
Yes. Blizzard recently fixed issues where the entrance portal could fail to appear for some players, updated Saprish’s Void Bomb visual, and fixed the gates after Viceroy Nezhar so they no longer linger after the fight.

What should healers watch most?
Heavy group pressure on Saprish during Overload, defensive timing on Nezhar, and steady room damage on L'ura when mechanics start overlapping.
