The road to the mount is long... but the rewards?
Glorious

The Mage Tower’s Seven Challenges
Here’s how I personally classify them by difficulty, though keep in mind, this ranking is highly subjective (don’t blame me if you find some of these easier than others):
Agatha – An Impossible Foe > 1 shot 🌟
Karam and Raest – Thwarting the Twins > 1 shot 🌟
Archmage Xylem – Closing the Eye > 3 shots
Tugar Bloodtotem – Feltotem’s Fall > 4 shots
Sigryn – The God-Queen’s Fury > 5+ shots
Highlord Kruul – The Highlord’s Return > 10 + shots 😡
Lord Erdris Thorn – End of the Risen Threat > 10 shots 😡 (my Cataract lens say "STOP IT, I CAN'T TAKE NO MORE!!!")
Don’t think you can just barrel through them without preparation. Oh, no.
This isn’t like my quick and efficient conquest of Azeroth.
I’ve mastered the failures and wiped more than I’d care to admit.
How to Get to the Mage Tower
Before you even think about taking on these challenges, you need to find the Mage Tower.
The Mage Tower is a solo combat challenge located at Deliverance Point on the Broken Shore in the Broken Isles (Legion expansion). As of 2026, it is permanently available and no longer requires the Legion Timewalking event to be active for entry.
Get to the Mage Tower
Travel to Legion Dalaran: Use your Dalaran Hearthstone or take the portal to Azsuna from your capital city's portal room (Stormwind or Orgrimmar) and fly to Dalaran.
Reach the Broken Shore: From Dalaran, fly southeast to the Broken Shore. If you have the flight path, fly directly to Deliverance Point.
Find the Tower: The Mage Tower is located at the base of a large broken tower within the main Legionfall camp at coordinates (/way 45.43, 62.16).
MAGE: Aks a mage to create a portal to "Dalaran - Broken isles"
Start the Challenge: Speak with War Councilor Victoria at the tower’s entrance to select and enter your class-specific challenge.

Unlocking the Mage Tower Challenges
If you cannot see the tower or the NPC, you may need to complete the introductory Broken Shore questline.
To gain entry to the Mage Tower and the challenges within, here’s what you’ll need:
Level Requirement: Level 50 or higher.
Intro Quest: Complete the quest “Armies of Legionfall” from Archmage Khadgar at Krasus' Landing in Dalaran.
Scenario: Complete the “Assault on Broken Shore” scenario to unlock the tower.
Key Rewards
Let’s talk rewards!
I did it for the mount!
Yeah, there's the Druid form and transmogs, but I'm a mount collector, confessed (my conscience, A.K.A. my wife, said I want to make this clear... little M+ Boss).
Class Transmog Sets: Each challenge rewards a recolor of the Tomb of Sargeras armor set.
Who doesn’t want that nostalgic look?Soaring Spelltome Mount: Finish all seven challenges across different characters/specializations and unlock this incredible flying mount.
Fel Werebear Form: Only available for Guardian Druids, this form is a unique and prestigious reward.

Agatha: An Impossible Foe
Don’t let the name intimidate you Agatha may be a chaotic mess, but with the right strategy, even a fool like me can manage.
In this challenge, you’ll need to understand the Imp Hierarchy and master the Boulder Dash phase. Trust me, you’ll be dodging and weaving faster than a Death Knight on caffeine.
Karam and Raest: Thwarting the Twins
These Magespear brothers are tricky, but not impossible. With precise kiting and Hand from Beyond priority, you’ll keep them at bay. Make sure you can soak Runes of Summoning without dropping your coffee, and you’ll be fine.
Archmage Xylem: Closing the Eye
Now things get spicy! Archmage Xylem is a test of your survival skills, especially during the Frost and Arcane phases.
Mirror Image will throw you off if you’re not careful.
So, how do we deal with this chaos?

This one’s a dance of interrupts and target swapping.
You’ll need to manage the Fel Surge Totems to avoid being stunned into oblivion, and you’ll need to stop every Fel Burst in its tracks. Otherwise, your run will come to an abrupt end.

You’ll be facing down the Sigryn Council, and if you can’t time your CCs or break Faljar's Ancestral Knowledge shield, you’ll find yourself wiped faster than a Paladin’s Divine Shield.

📜FAQ
1. Is the Mage Tower permanently available in Dragonflight?
Yes. Unlike the original Legion release or the initial Shadowlands return, the Mage Tower is now permanently accessible at all times. You no longer have to wait for the Legion Timewalking event to attempt the challenges.
2. What is the minimum level required to enter?
You must be at least level 50 to enter. However, being max level is recommended so you have access to all your Talents and Hero Talents, which provide a significant power boost even though your gear scales down.
3. How does gear scaling work inside the challenge?
Your character is scaled down to level 45 and your gear is capped at Item Level 120. This means high-level gear isn't necessarily better.
Many players find success using legacy gear with multiple sockets (like MoP or WoD items) to stack powerful gems.
4. Can I still get the original Legion Artifact appearances?
No. The original Artifact Weapon skins from the Legion expansion are permanently unavailable.
Completing the challenges now rewards a class-specific Tier 20 transmog recolor (Tomb of Sargeras style) and the Mage-Bound Spelltome mount if you complete all seven unique encounters.
5. Which consumables should I bring for the best chance?
Standard drums (if your class does not have Lust), flasks, food, and potions work, but since you scale down to iLvl 120.
