Greetings, Denizens of the Azeroth Galaxy!
Windrunner Spire is one of the Midnight Season 1 Mythic+ dungeons, and it sits in Eversong Woods as the haunted, grief-soaked home of the Windrunner family. Blizzard describes it as a place where the pain tied to Alleria, Sylvanas, and Vereesa has twisted the spirits inside, leaving the estate bound in unrest.
💭 Once the hallowed home of the Windrunner family, Windrunner Spire now mirrors the scarred relationship between Alleria, Sylvanas, and Vereesa. Animosity during a reunion at the home drove suffering and grief into a haunted manifestation that binds the spirits there, unable to find peace.
This dungeon is not a polite stroll through family history. It is fire, curses, hooks, war banners, ghostly soldiers, and one final boss that turns the room into a windy punishment chamber. This Noob respects the drama, but not the part where someone forgets the mechanic and then says, “I thought I had time.”

🌀The Innkeeper’s Note (TL;DR)
In Windrunner Spire, if your group interrupts on time, places puddles cleanly, and handles the special boss tricks correctly, the key feels smooth. If not, the place becomes a haunted museum of avoidable mistakes. The main pressure points are Emberdawn’s fire placement, the Derelict Duo’s hook interaction and even damage split, Commander Kroluk’s add phases, and the Restless Heart’s arrow and wind mechanics.
Interrupts matter a lot. Several pulls and bosses punish lazy kicks.
Space management wins fights. Bad puddle placement turns simple mechanics into group-wide suffering.
The Duo must die cleanly. If one survives too long, the other gets angry in a very unhealthy way.
Kroluk is really an add fight with a boss attached. If the adds live too long, the room gets ugly fast.
Restless Heart is all about using arrows correctly. Ignore them, and the fight becomes much harsher.

📍Windrunner Location

Windrunner Spire is located in the southwestern region of Eversong Woods. Coodinates below:
Trash, Pull Control, and How Keys Get Thrown Away Before the Bosses
Windrunner Spire's trash is there to punish teams that think every pull can be solved by charging in with confidence and no plan. The basic rule set stays simple. Avoid frontals, interrupt dangerous casts, stack enemies when it is safe, stun them, and burn them down together. Healers should remove curses and heavy bleeds quickly, and tanks should turn frontals away from the party and press defensives before the pull becomes a scream festival.
A few trash enemies deserve extra respect. Before the Duo, Devoted Woebringer is a real problem because its shielded scream can pump group damage until broken and stopped, while Flesh Behemoth punishes loose positioning with nasty spray and a tank hit. On the way to Kroluk, Swiftshot Archer, Phalanx Breaker, Spectral Axethrower, and Phantasmal Mystic all bring dangerous overlap, from circles and bleeds to Chain Lightning and burst fire damage.
If the dungeon is haunted and your group still decides to ignore cast bars, then the ghosts are not the real problem.
How to defeat
Emberdawn

Emberdawn opens the dungeon by teaching the ancient lesson of fire management: if you drop danger everywhere, soon there is nowhere polite left to stand. The fight revolves around Flaming Updraft, Burning Gale, Flaming Twisters, Fire Breath, and the tank hit Searing Beak.
A strong opening with lust is completely fine here. When Flaming Updraft marks a player, that person should move to the edge or a corner and place the fire neatly so the group keeps the middle of the room playable. If puddles land in bad spots, the tornado movement during Burning Gale gets much uglier than it needs to be.
Everyone should dodge the fire puddles, avoid the vortexes, and keep an eye on the frontal during the big gale sequence. Tanks need real defensives for Searing Beak, and healers should be ready for the heavier party damage during the gale windows. This fight is not complicated, but it becomes rude very quickly if the room gets dirty.
Lust at pull if available.
Flaming Updraft Red arrow move to the edges to drop the fire puddle
Avoid fire puddles and Flaming Twisters
Dodge Fire Breath
Tanks use defensives on Searing Beak
How to defeat
Derelict Duo

The Derelict Duo is where the dungeon checks whether your group can do mechanics and damage control at the same time. The core rule is simple: keep the bosses close for cleave and try to kill them evenly. If one lives too long after the other, Broken Bond makes the survivor much nastier.
The banshee is usually the smarter focus target, but cleave both as much as possible. Interrupt the banshee’s Shadow Bolt, dispel Curse of Darkness when you can, and drop the green puddles from Splattering Spew around the outside so the center stays workable. If the curse cannot be removed, the target needs help controlling or avoiding the add that follows.
The signature mechanic here is Debilitating Shriek. When that red arrow goes out, the target should move behind the banshee so the abomination’s hook interaction shuts it down. Do this cleanly, and the group saves a lot of pain. Ignore it, and the fight becomes a loud public apology. Tanks also need to be ready for Bone Hack, especially if puddles and curse pressure are already making the room messy.
- Cleave the bosses as much as possible - focus the banshee
- Drop green Puddles, Splattering Spew, far from the boss's focused area
- Interrupt banshee Shadow Bolt
- Dispel Curse of Darkness
- Banshee will use Debilitating Shriek, red arrow, the target should hide behind her so the abomination hooks her
- Whenever one of them dies, the other will enrage, Broken Bond - pop Defensives

How to defeat
Commander Kroluk

Commander Kroluk is the kind of boss who looks straightforward until the room fills up with enough extra nonsense to start its own guild. The key mechanics are Reckless Leap, Intimidating Shout, Rallying Bellow, Bladestorm, and the tank hit Rampage.
If you get targeted by Reckless Leap use a defensive and move smartly, because the landing creates extra danger on the floor. When Intimidating Shout is coming, stack with another player so the fear does not send you wandering around like a lost mailbox. Tanks should use major defensives for Rampage, and if the group can bait Leap cleanly, the fight feels much tidier.
The real check happens at 66% and 33%. Kroluk uses Rallying Bellow, deals strong party damage, summons adds, reduces the damage he takes, and spins around with Bladestorm while the room tries to become a disaster. Kill the adds fast, kite the fixate cleanly so the spinning boss hits them when possible, and save the key from a dramatic collapse. Healers should top the party before each add phase, because this is where weak groups suddenly remember they had cooldowns all along.
Dodge brown circles
When targeted by Reckless Leap, use defensive
Tanks pop defensives on Rampage
Run with fixated, Bladestorm , kiting boss to hit adds
Rallying Bellow kill adds ASAP
Intimidating Shout Stack with another team member

How to defeat
The Restless Heart

The Restless Heart ends the dungeon by turning wind mechanics into a judgment of patience. This fight is built around Turbulent Arrows, Squall Leap, Billowing Wind, Bolt Gale, Arrow Rain, and the tank hit Tempest Slash. It also received recent tuning, with Squall Leap no longer stacking, its visibility improved, and its base periodic damage increased to keep the arrow interaction meaningful.
The clean rule is simple. Use Turbulent Arrows properly. They are not decoration. Step on them to launch yourself and clear Squall Leap, and use them to avoid the sweeping wind wave. If you ignore the arrows, the fight turns into a lesson about why the room was trying to help you in the first place.
Spread out to clear arrows around the room, dodge the blue circles and Arrow Rain, and use defensives when Bolt Gale targets you. Tanks should be ready for Tempest Slash, while the whole group keeps the arena under control with Gust Shot and smart movement. This is the sort of final boss that looks graceful right up until someone fails one arrow mechanic and the whole room starts laughing.
I respect this fight. Not because it is gentle, but because it gives every player one last chance to prove they can read the floor.
Lust at pull if available.
Dodge Bullseye Windblast by timing and stepping on Turbulent Arrows
Remove Squall Leap by stepping on Turbulent Arrows
Clear the room using Gust Shot
Spread and DO NOT clean all Turbulent Arrows. You need them to jump.
If targeted with Bolt Gale Use cooldowns
Dodge blue circles.
